Your fixed braces specialist.
Fixed conventional braces are what you might picture when you think of orthodontic treatment.
But the metal braces of today are much more sleek and sophisticated than the braces of the past.
And, in the hands of our capable teams located in Mill Hill and Harley Street, they can fix almost all orthodontic issues.
Although there are all sorts of modern orthodontic treatments available, metal braces are still popular for a reason.

Treatment doesn’t end until you’re 100% happy with your results. Your perfect smile is our promise.
Starting braces treatment doesn’t mean you need to give up all your favourite foods. In fact, with a few minor changes, you should still be able to enjoy most of your favourite things. Just remember, it’s important to clean your teeth and appliance after every meal and snack to keep your smile healthy.
Metal braces work with a system of brackets, archwires and elastics. With conventional braces, a bracket is fixed to the front of each tooth, and the archwire runs through them.
With the help of elastics (which can be customised in fun colours), we’ll apply gentle pressure to move your teeth into alignment.
iTero’s digital scans offer precision and comfort, eliminating messy moulds and providing faster, more accurate treatment for better-fitting aligners.
Digital X-rays provide high-quality, clear images with less radiation, helping us accurately diagnose and plan treatments, while offering a faster, more comfortable experience for you.
With in-house 3D printing, we can ensure faster delivery and precise, custom-fit solutions for your orthodontic needs. No more waiting - just quicker results for your smile transformation with our specialist orthodontists in Central and North London.

Fixed metal braces are traditional braces that use metal brackets and wires, which are placed on the front of your teeth. Iconix braces feature tooth-coloured brackets, making them less visible compared to regular metal braces. Both types are fixed (non-removable) and effective for straightening teeth.
Iconix braces are designed with comfort in mind, using smooth, rounded brackets to minimise irritation to your mouth. Both these and metal brace options are comfortable once you get used to wearing them.
While Iconix braces are made from tooth-coloured materials, they are not fully invisible like lingual braces or clear aligners. However, the brackets blend with the natural colour of your teeth, making them a more subtle option than metal braces.
Yes, you can eat and drink with Iconix and fixed metal braces, but you'll need to avoid certain foods that are hard, sticky, or crunchy (such as popcorn, nuts, or caramel) as they can damage the braces. It's also important to clean your teeth after meals to prevent food particles from getting trapped.
Yes, you can play sports while wearing Iconix or fixed metal braces, but it’s recommended to wear a mouthguard for extra protection. The brackets and wires can sometimes cause discomfort or injury if you get hit in the face, so protecting your teeth and braces is important during physical activities.
